Apple Picking and Gallons of Cider

We went over to Jon and Janna’s house Saturday to pick apples in their backyard and make cider.

Andrew got to climb a tree which you know every grown wishes he could do in his free time on the weekend.

We had two layers of apples spread over almost all their counter space to rinse and dry before pressing. Luckily their kitchen has two sinks to make the process a little speedier.

The messy pressing happened on the front porch.

We ended up with just a few gallons of cider, everybody took some since it’s only good for about 10 days.

Delicious!
